Bag Dyed Scarf
 We will learn the way to use ordinary plastic bags to give your scarf a marbled, non-uniform effect. Very fun and easy for almost anyone to do, especially great at the Art Attack as we contain all the “mess” you just have the fun. You can choose a jersey full-round scarf or a hand woven one with intricate openwork pattern.

Funky and Fabulous Painting
We will learn how to use acrylic paints to paint on many different surfaces creating some funky finds. We’ll use chairs, brooms, trays, and other objects you can add new and fun twists to them. Taught by Susan Edwards

Pee Wee Picasso
Students learn an appreciation for master artists like Picasso and Monet, as well as experience hands on learning with media like watercolor, oil pastels and modeling clay. A great beginner’s class for the young aspiring artist.

Drawing is the foundation of great artwork. Students will focus on the basics of drawing that includes contour line drawings, value, and more.

Choose from one of many choices, set a date with girl friends or do as a birthday party, then come and create! All painting supplies included for a 16 x 20 painting. Two hour party, bring your own food and/or libations. $25 per participant Ages 8 and up

Make A Mess
This is an unbelievably fun class, make sure your child wears old clothing for this one as they will become messy with goopy, gushy, gooey, slippery and sloppy art explorations.

Crafty Creations
Cost: Fee: $40 Ages: 7 and up
Each month has a theme for crafts and art projects. The teacher presents the project and supplies. Students are encouraged to use their imaginations and create decorative and useful items in their own style. Come join the creations!

Sewing Classes
Ages 8 and up see specific class, fun for Mom too!
Design your own hand bag: You will focus on how to create an aesthetic designed bag with texture, pattern, size, shape, and style, but also functional. All supplies are included, though feel free to bring in a specific fabric you’d like included.
Jan 16, 9-2pm bring a lunch Cost: $25, ages 9 and up
Design your own Stuff Animal – learn how to sew a simple stuffed animal from frogs to bears by hand, easy to learn but also great for an advanced sewer.
Jan 28, 1 – 5 pm Cost: $25, includes all materials. Ages 9 and up
Fabric Graffiti - Design a graffiti print on fabric with your favorite colors by using paint, stencils and other things to create fun fabric. Many tools, stencils, and techniques will be used. In the second class we will cure the print, and sew the fabric into one completed stylish pillow. You will have fabric to make many more projects. Let yourself go, and show your style! Feb 15 & 16, 6 – 8pm, cost: $22, ages 8 & up

Owl Pillows: make an owl shaped pillow using your sewing machine. We will add embellishments for a great room decoration.
Cost: $15 includes a copy of pattern and materials

Recycled Frames
Learn how to take old frames and recreate better uses for them that the trash heap! Ideas are to paint, decoupage, guild, embellish and many other ideas – you choose! You can make trays, new frames, memo boards and so much more. Ages 10 and up

Memo Board
We will use an old frame to create a memo board, crazy tacks to use at home, bedroom or office! May 15, 1 – 4 pm Cost: $18

The Art Attack, 215 W. Elm Street, Sycamore, Illinois 60178 - (815) 899-9440. We are located at 215 W. Elm St., in the heart of Sycamore, IL. It is easily accessible from Rt. 23 and Rt. 64. It is on the corner of Somonauk and Elm St., a block from the County Courthouse.
